Seminar: "Roadmap for pre - incubator and technology business incubator period 2015-2025"

On December, 13th 2015 morning, the Institute of Policy and Management in collaboration with the management unit of project “Support to the innovation and the development of business incubators policy – BIPP” together held a seminar on "Roadmap for pre - incubator and technology business incubator period 2015-2025" at VNU-University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi.

This seminar is within the framework of activities of the bid “Research and develope the roadmap for pre – incubator and technology business incubator period 2015-2025” BIPP executed by the Institute of Policy and Management. BIPP is a bilateral cooperation project in term of 5 years which was signed by the Government of Belgium and the Government of Vietnam. The objective of the project is to improve the policy framework of science and technology business incubators - essential element to enhance the competitiveness of Vietnam enterprises. The bid was conducted with aim to study and analyze the situation in order to draft the overall roadmap of pre - incubator and technology business incubators in the period 2015-2025. This will be one of the basic reference for the Ministry of Science and Technology and relevant ministries continue to build and perfect the legal framework for the operation of technology business incubators of Vietnam.

The seminar have the contribution of managers, scientists, researchers in the field of science and technology from the Ministry of Science and Technology, research institutes, universities, and in particular, seminar also attracted the participation of business leaders, representatives of funds, and science and technology programs in domestic and international.

The seminar took place in a solemn and serious atmosphere. Prof. Bo Goransson - represents for the Policy Research Institute (RPI), University of Lund, Sweden, said: “Incubation is an important issue, not only in Vietnam but also in many countries around the world”. As a consultant, Professor Bo said that research content was taken seriously and meticulously. Survey sample size was achieved enough eligibility on the coverage, representation and high reliability. However, he comments to the reseach team on a number of issues such as adding the roles of leaders and departments in the roadmap.

Assoc.Prof. Pham Huy Tien (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology), Dr. Nguyen Van Hoc (Strategy and Policy Institute of Science and Technology), Mr Chu Van Thang (Program Partners Innovation Vietnam - Finland), Nguyen Hoang Hai (Department application and technology development ), Mr. Pham Van Hiep (Department of Science and technology of Hanoi), ... have made an assessment of meaning and value of the roadmap report, besides offering meaningful suggestions for the report.

         

Speaking at the seminar, Prof. Nguyen Van Khanh - on behalf of the Institute of Policy and Management, together with expert group of the project sincerely thanked experts, scientists for their participants, detail remarks and suggestions to the seminar.

With tradition and conditions of human and material resources, as well as the contribution of dedicated professors, leading scientists in science and technology, field of policy, the Institute of Policy and Management will finalize the report on the Roadmap for pre - incubators and technology business incubator period 2015-2025.
